The Funky Puppy

The Funky Puppy is a 2 in 1 version of The Silver Paw and The Silver Funk which allows the user to toggle the link feature with a footswitch rather than using the extra 3.5mm jumper cable needed to use it with the separate stomp boxes.

When using the two separate units together the filter wont function independently if the jumper cable is plugged in. This 2 in 1 version solves that problem and allows you to access the full potential of all three effects available from this unit.

Controls:

FUZZ SIDE

Drive - Controls the character of the fuzz/ distortion, turn it down for a fat overdriven sound. Turn it up and flip the switch to Hard mode and you're in synthy square wave heaven.

Clean - The level of the clean signal.

Fuzz - The level of the fuzz/distortion.

Gate - Controls how loud the input signal must be for the fuzz to engage. Handy for killing any background noise from the fuzz signal when you're not playing or creating more synth like tones.

Soft/Hard Switch - Softer "classic" fuzz tones on the left, more aggressive on the right.

Mid Shift - subtle change to mid frequencies, not on the original Brown Dog.

ENVELOPE FILTER

Smoothness - The smoothness control dictates the speed at which the filter adjusts to variations in input level. When set to a lower value, the filter undergoes abrupt, significant changes with each note, resulting in a squishy sound with subtle fluctuations as the filter reacts to individual audio cycles. Conversely, when set to a higher value, the filter exhibits smoother, more gradual movements.

Squelch - The squelch control regulates the intensity of the filtering effect by modifying the resonance of the filter. Increasing it amplifies the gain at the filter frequency, emphasizing those frequencies further and resulting in a more pronounced "squelchy" sound.

Pitch - Filter frequency control. Shifts frequency response higher the more it's turned up.

Sweep - Modifying the sweep control alters the breadth of the filter's sweeps. At a low setting, the filter covers a narrow range and shows limited responsiveness to your playing dynamics. Conversely, increasing the setting widens the filter's sweep range, enhancing the impact of your playing dynamics

Up/Down Switch - Controls the direction of the filter sweep. In up mode the filter starts low sweeps up, this is where you'll find your traditional filter sounds. In down mode it sweeps the opposite way allowing some great swelling sounds and even more possibilities using the link feature.
