The Submarine Mini is a redesign of The Submarine Pedal I've been making for a while now, possibly better known as "That Dr Robert clone that guy does". It's just the straight UL-730 preamp in a single pedal size format without the extra boost (or Mach Shau!) function. Even after removing the boost circuit fitting this into a single sized box without compromising on components was quite tricky but I'm quite happy the result.
Controls
- Volume- Overall volume control when Boost is off.
- Mids - Where the magic is in this circuit.
- Gain - Clean to dirt and everything in between.
- Treble & Bass - These are internal trimpots on the Dr Robert, they are subtle but I think useful enough to have easily accessible, especially if you're changing guitars around a lot.
It features:
- True Bypass switching with premium light force footswitches
- Power with a standard 9v pedal power supply. This pedal is 9v ONLY!
- Alpha Potentiometers.
- High quality, low tolerance components throughout.
- Gloss black power coated enclosure with PCB faceplate.
